-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In New Vestroia, after the Vestals fled, some Vestals and humans were left behind, willingly or unwillingly to fend for themselves against the Bakugan who reside there. Without the bustling cities emitting a wavelength that causes the Bakugan to revert to their spherical forms, the bakugan are free to wander their world, doing whatever they wish to. However, the Vestals and humans that were left behind have been interacting with the Bakugan, making packs that battle each other. There are large “Clans” and “Packs”. A Pack is a small group that has weak members and a weak leader. Clans are large groups who have vicious battlers and a leader. Among the Clans are the Seven Royal Clans of New Vestroia, each with a Vicious Leader, who have been around the Bakugan’s energy for so long, that they have been able to absorb their attributes and even transform their bodies on command. Their normal appearance is humanoid, but their released form becomes a fusion of the clan members. Some have spent so much time as their released forms that their normal forms have become a fusion of the Released form and human form. These mutated humanoids are full of power and can take on even the most ferocious Bakugan and hold their own ground against the being easily twice or three times larger and stronger than them. The Seven Royal Clans of New Vestroia each consist of a different type of Bakugan. The Avian Clan, the Warrior Clan, the Insect Clan, the Reptile Clan, the Beast Clan, the Mechanical Clan and the most feared, the Dragon Clan.

Regardless, these Clans have each been clashing with each other, nearly breaking out into war. Most disputes are minor and dealt with among themselves. War has not occurred as of yet however. The Clans have been showing signs of war preparations as of lately though. Here, is where our story begins, with in the Dominion of the Dragon. Here, is where the bloodshed begins, and division of a great nation.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“The Seventh Battalion and the Fourth Fleet should wrap around behind the hive and go in and take out the Insects aerial defenses before we make our final push from the front” the raspy voice sounded across the packed War Room. This room had one large table in it’s center with an accurate model of New Vestroia and all it’s Clans bases clearly marked. There were three movable markers in particular that were being discussed. A raid on the Insect clans’ hive-like base.
“But the Seventh Battalion and the Fourth Fleet are all new recruits,” sounded a younger, stern voice while pounding a fist onto the meeting table while rising in frustration “There’s no way an advanced army could take down those defenses without many casualties. How can you just send them blindly into the firing line to perish? This plan is way out of line General”
“Do you think I don’t know what I am doing? Remember the Code of the Dragon. ‘Fight and Fight until there is no more left to fight for’ This is the code that our clan has lived on since Vestroia reformed. The Dragons are the strongest beings in New Vestroia. It’s out destiny to rule New Vestroia. We have to stamp out the weak to show the stronger Clans that are worth keeping to fear us and obey our rule.”
“Every Bakugan is worth saving. Your plan is murder at it’s darkest. How can you send the word when you know it will be the last order they hear? How heartless can you be” said the younger Lieutenant with annoyance and frustration.
“Without sacrifice there can’t be any good from it. So sacrifice the new recruits instead of wasting experience. That is the only way the Dragons will reign supreme as they have in the past. It’s the only way and it is the way it WILL be.” responded the raspy voiced General while slashing a set of claws into the diagram table that doubles as the table in the center of the room..
“There’s always another way. I am not following your lead knowing I would have a hand in killing these Bakugan that have pledged allegiance to our clan. If you send the order, I am walking out and will swear to get pay-back for their sacrifice.”
“Well, start swearing Drago. The order has been sent.” replied the older General smirking at the wide-eyed Dragonoid that stood in defiance.
“Helios! I am warning you, recall your order of you will pay for your disloyalty to your soldiers.” Drago said while clenching a fist at his side.
“Ha, you think that you can single handedly take on the strongest Group of Dragons that Vestroia has ever seen? Bring it on then Drago. You will be shredded to pieces by my armies.”
“I won’t be alone, Helios. Who here disagrees with General Helios’ plan?” Drago announces while looking around at the rest of the crowd lining the War Room table. A silence sounded, only an occasional cough or heavy breath could be heard for a few moments. With each passing moment, Drago’s face began to turn more dismal and after a few minutes of silence Drago’s head fell low in shame.
“See, Drago. These Dragon all know who to ser-”
“I’m……. with you Drago,” uttered the low voice of an Apollonir who sat in the far corner “Your commitment to preserving the Dragons that serve nobly under you is why I will go where you go” then from under Apollonir’s shadow stepped a small human. He exclaimed “Yeah, we are with you brave Dragonoid.
“Thank you Apollonir.” Drago could hardly finish exclaiming his thanks before an eruption of about 5 or 6 highly held Dragons rose form their seats in approval for Drago. General Helios looked around in confusion and then loudly roared “DRAGO. Your insubordination has gone too far. With this renegade of Dragons who exclaimed their loyalty to you, you are all hereby BANISHED from the Dragon Clan forever!” As soon as General Helios finished his speech, he motioned his hand towards the ceiling where a red light began to glow, revealing a Electro-dart sedate gun in its light. The gun immediately began to whirr for a second before quickly and accurately shooting a series of darts towards Drago and the 5 followers. The shots seemed to take mere milliseconds to shoot and hit all 5 targets directly in the chest. With the hit of each dart sounded a series or electric simmers and cracks, then the sound of a body hitting the floor.
Once the assault had finished, it was only silent a second before the surrounding Dragons began to kick and punch the fallen, each of them commenting and swearing at the weak that had fallen before them. This riot went on for 5 minutes, each body slowly being engulfed in enraged draconic fury.
“ENOUGH” sounded a strong powerful voice from behind General Helios , the upper set of stairs toward the front of the War Room. The room went silent and all faced turned to listen. “These fools have spoken out against my rule over New Vestroia. They will be banished to the barren deserts of New Vestroia’s western edge, on the other side of the Insect Kingdom. They will certainly be attacked by the Insects, since to get to water and food, they would need to walk towards and past the Insect Fortress. They will certainly be eaten alive there. Helios, assign the Third Flyer Division to drag them along the ground to the Western Desert, go through the forest path, make it as painful as possible.”
“Sire, shall they be bound by the hands or feet when dragged?” No sooner could Helios finish the sentence before a flap of wings sounded and a black and red flash appeared in front of Helios. The sound of piercing and blood dripping to hit the floor was the only sound that echoed through the room. Helios began to gasp for breath. “Tch, Helios“ The being uttered mockingly while twisting a black and red sword inside Helios‘ shoulder. “What is more painful to be dragged by? What would YOU hate to be dragged by?”
Helios gasped and growled, “By the wings, Night Fang ?”
“By the wings it is then.” said Night Fang, face smiling a deep-seated evil smile. Night Fang pulled the sword out of Helios’ shoulder with a metallic shearing motion, sending blood into the air that seemed to hang forever. He pointed the sword at Drago’s beaten body and walked toward him, the crowd clearing around him. He stood above Drago’s head. This will mark you as a traitor to the Dragon Clan, Drago. No Dragon will ever consider you an ally again. Night Fang kneeled down and used a dagger concealed in his sleeve to carve a Dragon symbol on the side of Drago’s face, leaving a big gash. Then standing up again, held the dagger in one hand and the sword in the other, lifted the sword high above his right shoulder, and slashed downward, cutting across the newly formed symbol in Drago’s flesh.
“Farewell, Lieutenant. You shall pay for your disloyalty,“ Night Fang lifted the dagger in his left hand, coated in Drago’s blood, and licked the blades edge taking with it some of the dragon’s blood, then finished “with your life.” Night Fang turned around, allowing the candlelight to reflect off his black scales and Red metal armor, his black and Red wings flowing behind his shoulders. Night Fang shifted his eyes from left to right, looking at all his subordinates with a heartless stare. “Well, what are you all sitting around for?!” Night Fang shouted showing his 4 inch long fangs. Immediately each figure began to walk out of the War Room and get into their ranks and being training of War preparation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know you are going to ask. “But there are other Bakugan besides dragons, what about them?” To answer that I say PATIENCE! The clans only watched while the dragons fought it out. Some side with the Shadow Dragons, some sided with no one. Each new addition adding a new weapon to each arsenal. Now, let’s take a look into these clans. First, the Clan of the feathered beasts, the Avians.

A sky base, the Avian Fortress. This base is hidden in the trees high and out of sight. The Avian Clan gathered materials left over from the Vestals colonization in New Vestroia. After the materials were gathered the birds flew around and assembled the base in nearly no time at all. In the base, they have a wind tunnel to practice picking up and controlling flights at high speeds, an armory and a throne room. All this advancements of the birds was lead by the Sky Empress. Empress’ speed is immense. She rushes into battle, throwing all of her power at the opponent at once, leaving them little time to observe her weakness, if she has any. The Sky Empress is very caring for all of their companions but is ticked ff very easily and is ruthless to her opponent’s who are standing in the way of what she wants. The Sky Empress is also known as “The Black Flash”.

The Meeting Room bustled with conversations and cries of various birds, in a range from frustration to anticipation. Occasionally a bird would stand and lunge at another war ambassador next to them, these little uproars only lasted an instant, as bystanders would restrain the attacker and settle them down again into conversation. At the head of the table, under a large platform floating above the room, was The Two Eagles, the top military and strategist leaders of the Avian Clan. They seemed to be discussing something that the whole room seemed to be fussing over as well. One phoenix-like being kept pointing at a large map displayed beside them. They seemed to be arguing but not fighting. It more seemed they were posing questions and solutions that each other would shoot down. They directed both of their focus on one structure that was positioned on the southeastern corner of the map. That spot looked as if a large circle had been carved from the map, only it wasn’t a missing piece at all. The gaping black hole seemed to have a spiral staircase descending downward into it’s depths. The second being with 3 sets of wings raised an arm covered in feathers and pointed just north of the giant chasm and moved his hand diagonally downward to the east of the chasm. A third being lifted his head and turned it to the side, in which he listened to a whisper that was uttered from a Ravenoid behind him. He then rose from a chair to the right of the map and walked to the other two. He uttered some words in each ear of the Two Eagles. Each face looking shocked and surprised after the whisper was finished. The Pheonix-like being then told the multi-winged being something. Immediately the Pheonix and the third being stepped back against the map and the multi-winged being stepped forward to face the bustling room of aviaries.

“Silence, all of you!,” the multi-winged bird announced. “There has been a message brought to our fine fortress. This might be the most crucial news concerning the Dragon Clan. It seems they have banished their lieutenant and a few other high members of their War Council. This has given u-” The being was interrupted by a Falconeer’s stumbled entrance into the room. The Falconeer uttered only a few words. “The Insect Clan thinks….. we…. attacked them…... ambush” No sooner had he said his last word, he fell onto the floor in front of the platform where the Eagles were. There was a large dart in the back of the Falconeer. Immediately the whole room went into a frenzy and panic at what had just happened. The multi-winged being turned his head to the side and directed a few of the guards to carry the injured messenger away to the infirmary. The three beings at the head of the room turned back to the map and discussing.

“How can we take down those irrational fools. They take what isn’t theirs. We can’t even see find their hideout. They are too crafty for us to find it easily. Our maps are a bit outdated, since they were the last clan to form, we aren’t aware of their location.” said the phoenix- like being.
“Well we are stronger, why couldn’t we? I bet one of the other Clans knows their location. Maybe we could ‘negotiate’ an exchange of information about the whereabouts of those idiot’s hideout.” Said the third being, who apparently had a high position in the Avian Clan.
“What do you mean by ‘negotiation‘?” said the multi-winged being.
“I mean we beat them up and beat the information out of them.” replied the third being.
“Why would we do that to a Clan that hasn’t harmed us? They wouldn’t tell us information if we be rash and harsh to them.” uttered the phoenix-like being.
“Well, then what does the almighty Skyress think we should do?”

Disputes and arguments break out amongst The Three Eagles. Some punches are thrown but nothing hit’s the mark. Suddenly, quick black flashes appear on the walls of the room each a second after the other. Everyone in the room becomes silent and glances around, each catching a black flash on one of the walls, even The Three Eagles looks around in panic. The flashes stop, then 5 seconds later, the lights in the room go black. The Officers all become hectic, and start shooting out demands to turn the lights back on. A second later one light turns on sending a spotlight to the center of the room. A black flash appears in the spotlight and there stands Winged Shadow.

“Oberus has a point about knowing that another Clan knows the location of their base. However, the way to go about it Oberus suggested has too many flaws. We could attacked and taken down, some of us could be captured. Or, even if that plan did succeed and we do get information, who’s to say it is true? It is too risky.” said the humanoid with jet black wings that spread 16 feet wide from tip to tip.
“Well then, mighty Winged Shadow, what do YOU think we should do? If you are so mighty, you should tell us how to get back at those trespassers.” Oberus mocked at the Leader.
“Oberus, will you ever learn to lay off your cockiness?” Winged Shadow disappeared for a second and reappeared directly under Oberus. Winged Shadow, or Shadow for short, jumped up and spread her wings in front of Oberus, holding a katana to Oberus‘s face, between the eyes. “Do not test me Oberus, or you will turn out like the Dragon‘s Lieutenant, BANISHED“ Shadow stared at Oberus for a few silent moments, then lowered her sword and turned around while still hovering mid-air, her long black wings were just as beautiful as scary. Rumor has it the last thing someone sees when they die by Shadow is those wings silhouetted against the shine of the moon off of her blade, right before the final blow. “Here is how we will do this.” She continued “Oberus did have a point about another clan knowing the whereabouts of the Insect clan. So we should try to get the location from them. Not all of the other Clans hate ours. How about we propose that we team up and take down those fools. Let’s just hope that there’s another clan that hates those roaches like ours does.” said Winged Shadow with a evil smirk staring at the map’s center, particularly at the mountain range depicted in it’s center, then let out an evil laugh under her breath. She continued to look at her subjects, then when they didn’t move, she shouted. “Well get to work, we have war preparations to make.” All of the troops in the room launched from their seats and flew out of the Meeting Room through a hole in the ceiling which had increased air flow from vents on it’s sides, making the speeds achieved quite high compared to normal speeds. Then, as if Winged Shadow weren’t ever there, she disappeared into thin air.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The crashing got louder, the ground rumbled with great immensity as the sound got closer. Tree on the horizon were crashing and falling, making the sound of splitting lumber sound for miles. Overhead 10 dragons of all different species flew with wires handing downward into the trees below. The dragons flew in pairs, each pair connected their wire to one being, each carrying with them a Dragon Traitors mark cut out of their skin by Night Fang. The wires were tied to the tips of the set of wings on the Dragon. This hold was no doubt very painful, the wings being so mobile and thin are like being dragged and suspended by your fingernails or hair. The beings were easily flying at 60 or 70 miles per hour, dragging the weight of the traitors was slowing them down a bit. Even at slow speeds, the weights being dragged were leaving five trails in the forest, knocking entire trees out of the ground, snapping 30 year old trees of huge height and width. Each tree knocking the limbs and neck into a different position, nearly leaving indentations onto the flesh. Blow after blow, the bodies took them and didn’t squirm, they were like dead bodies being beaten and kicked and punched. Covered in scratches, bruises, cuts and torn flesh, the flying beasts and their cargo approaches the edges of the mountains on their way southward to the desert. These mountains weren’t covered in the forests that surrounded the range, it was rocky and jagged. These rocks reacted differently than the trees had. The rock formations that rose out of the ground didn’t give way like the trees did. Drago’s body approached one of rock formations head on, his head hit the rock formation, bending under the rest of his body and flipping over backwards, twisted his wing joints around. A loud pop then followed.
A laugh sounded from high above Drago’s mangled body. The laughing Dragon turned his head and looked at the seconrd Dragon that was dragging Drago as well. “How much do you want to bet we just ‘clipped’ his wings?” Another laugh ensued in both Dragons. “An appropriate punishment for speaking out against you Helios.” said the second Dragon. “Ha, that fool had it coming. There’s no way that he will survive this little trip. Another fool falls before Night Fang. How about we add some real insult to injury?” said Helios to the second. “What do you have in mind, Great Helios?” replied the second dragon. “See that tar pit up ahead?” Helios asked while pointing ahead. “ I say we drag him over there and give him a little dip. What do you say?” asked Helios. “What are we waiting for?” replied the other.

As both of them flew toward the tar pit, a low groan, almost a growl sounded below them. “Did you hear that Helios. Do you suppose he’s waking up?”
“What are you talking about? He had a good shock and was injected with sedative. He shouldn’t be awake for a good 2 hours. You must be hearing things” replied Helios arrogantly. “If you say so….” answered the second.

Helios and the second Dragon, which happened to be a Hyper Dragonoid, approached the tar pit. The steam from the liquid fire bubbling formed fog on Helios’ metal skin even 50 feet above the pit. “Hot stuff huh Helios?” joked the Hyper Dragonoid. “Of course, it will burn even the thickest armors. This is the way I punish traitors. Night Fang may have made it permanent, but I make it hurt. Too bad he isn’t awake or I would enjoy this.” Helios said followed with an evil laugh. Drago was dragged to the pits edge. “Enjoy the dip Drago.” Helios said as he pulled on the wire dropping Drago 15 feet into the molten black pit. Dragon made an impact with the black liquid and slowly sank. When the tar reached Drago’s neck. He let out a loud groan. “Helios…. Do you think he is still passed out?” cried the Hyper Dragonoid. “He is. The sedative still makes the nervous system pick up pain impulses, he can respond, but he can’t control his muscles. A typical sedative that Night Fang concocted himself, it deadly in higher dosages.” Helios said watching Drago sink farther and farther into the pit, screaming and groaning in pair, but unable to move. Paralyzed but, still feeling pain. Helios let’s out a laugh that was so loud it drowned out Drago’s painful cries. As the tar approached Drago’s face and mouth. The groaning was muffled as Drago began to intake the burning tar. The groans sounded still but were very silent now. The tar covered Drago’s eyes, which were open. The last thing to disappear was his horn. The only part of Drago left floating was the tip of his tail and the wire holding the tips of his wings together, and eventually those sank as well. Only a wire led to what was under the tar. Drago’s groans and cries became faint and then silent. Hyper Dragonoid stared in nervousness, then looked at Helios. “Helios, don’t you think that’s enough? Night Fang wanted him alive after all.” Hyper Dragonoid looked at the pit and squinted in thought. “Don’t worry, he will be alive, just dangling over the edge of death, so close to it that the Insects will pick his carcass clean in the middle of the roasting desert.” Helios said plainly. Hyper Dragonoid could only feel that he is dead now but in fear of Helios didn’t dare move to pull him out. Hyper Dragonoid waited what felt like an eternity but only was 30 seconds of Drago’s death by tar drowning then began to fly and pull up out of instinct. Helios began to pull up as well. A black mass started to ascend from the pit’s mouth. After some hard pulling, Drago was set down on the sandy soil. Drago tumbled a bit when set down, the tar picking up sand and rocks from the floor and sticking to Drago’s body, making a hard shell. Hyper Dragonoid was out of breath from the lift then Helios spun around and hit Hyper Dragonoid across the face with his tail, sending him flying backward hitting and crumbling a stone structure, pulling Drago about 10 feet with the force of the blow. Amongst the dust of the collapse Hyper Dragonoid began to stand up only to be pinned by his neck to the remaining stone by Helios’ claws. “What were you doing?!?!?! I didn’t tell you to pull him out yet!!!!” Helios yelled in anger. “I was…. Only trying to… follow Night Fang’s orders…” cried Hyper Dragonoid amongst choking fits from Helios’ grasp. “I’ll show you how to follow orders!!!!” Helios shouted as he began to form a fireball in his mouth to shoot point blank at the Hyper Dragonoid. The reflection of the fireball reflected in Hyper Dragonoid’s fear filled eyes. Helios released the fireball striking Hyper Dragonoid’s face. A high pitched yelp was emitted from the Hyper Dragonoids last breath. A burned skeleton fell to the floor at the base of the collapsed rock structure. Helios proceeded to cut the wire attached to Hyper Dragonoid. Helios rose up into the air and continued to carry Drago to the barrens of the desert, alone.

Helios passed the Insect Fortress and continued on for several miles, hitting every insect mound, rock structure, and every other hazard in the desert. Drago at this point had been beaten, sliced, cut, scraped, garroted, burned, partly drowned, dragged, received a dislocated set of wings, a bruised body, and can’t move through all of it. Helios finally reached the outskirts of the desert, nothing could be seen surrounding the location, not a plant, Bakugan, or even a land marking could lead anyone out of here that got lost. Helios flew up high bringing Drago‘s solidified tar mass higher as well. The Helios nose dived downward and slashed the wire holding him in the air. As Drago fell to the ground Helios said “Drago, you are pretty much done. You won’t be able to fly because of your wings, you won’t be able to move because you are solidified in tar and your mouth and throat is full of tar. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! That is how a traitor is treated among Night Fang. don’t you forget it. “ Drago hit the ground with a thud and the tar began to crack in some places. The following 4 traitors were also arriving in the same area. After they had each dropped their loads, the dragon’s reported to Helios. One of them asked, “There’s only 9 of us, where is the tenth Helios? “ Helios looked at him and replied. “He had a little ‘accident’ while flying. He won’t be returning with us.” After wards he smirked and laughed evilly. The band of nine dragons, flew off in an instant and left the 5 beaten and broken, to fend for themselves, if something doesn’t get them first.

Deep in the forests hills, the ground vibrates and shakes with the noises of vicious beings, the Beast Clan. This clan’s base is only seen by those who are beasts. Only the intelligence of the raw world can be picked up by beings with instinct. The base was dug by the paws of it’s members and made as a series of tunnels and rooms. Inside this base is sleeping quarters, an armory, a meeting room and a throne room for the Beast Clan’s leader. Inside this base, the meeting room is vibrating with activity. The raw clay walls are alight with candlelight, flickering light around a room with many levels of seats, like an amphitheater. These seats were full with the bristling fur of many beasts. A series of snarls and low growls can be heard as they all look downward to the front of the room, where a large crude strategy board with a map of New Vestroia upon it. Twigs stuck into the clay base represented trees, rocks representing mountains. Surprisingly, for the maps crude features, the map was accurate in proportions and geography. Behind the table map was a small set of stairs leading up to a throne type structure, shrouded in a shadow, Upon the throne was a being, sitting Indian style, eyes closed. If you listen closely there was a light breathing of the sleeping beast. Looking over the table were two figures, known as the “Alpha Beasts“, or the wisest two warriors in the clan, the only exception is the Leader.
“Well, we have some suspicions that those ticks are talking of an alignment with those snakes,” said Alpha Beast We should just stop out the fire while it’s only a small flicker. What do you think Verias?” sounded a Tigrerra looking over the board, then turning to face Verias beside her.
“Well, from what I know of the Reptiles and Insects, they both live in the woods, just where I am not certain. Reptiles would most likely live near a water source and mountainous terrain with a lot of sun exposure. But there’s no place where those interact anywhere in New Vestroia. This is a difficult and confusing situation, if the rumors are correct, I don’t see how these two would align themselves very long.” replied Verias staring at the forested northeast center of the board, rubbing his chin in thought.
“Well, we have to go on the evidence we have. Something MUST be done!!!” replied Tigrerra in a tone of mild anger.
“We cannot just blame them outright. If these rumors are meant for us to jump the gun, we might be going to war with two clans who weren’t attempting to harm us. We have to get better information. Possibly the other clan have better access to the location of these two clans, maybe they are just helping each other with a project or combining their efforts to overcome something.” replied Verias glancing over to Tigrerra.
“Yeah, overcome us. If they are aligning that means they will have double the will-power. They must know that the others clans might not know their location. If you can’t find the source, you can’t get rid of what plaguing you. Verias, what do YOU propose we do?” said Tigrerra in a smug tone.
“Well, I’m…. I’m not quite sure.” answered Verias in a confused voice.
“Well, I thi-” started Tigrerra. The growling ceased, ears of all the beings in the room turned to the back of the room, where decended a long hallway. Down the hallway the echo of shuffling sounded, echoing across the war chamber. The shuffling grew louder and more infrequent in pattern. A shadow began to reveal itself, slowly becoming illuminated by the candlelight. The shuffling got closer, the shadow became more vivid. The light reflecting off the fur of the being, white teeth gleamed a tan glow, metal buckles could be heard rattling with each shuffle. A minutes of silence revealed a Hynoid with a leather harness on. Gasps sounded from the back of the room as the Hynoid shuffled slowly down the row of raised seats of the amphitheater. He approaches the opposite side of the table from the Alpha Beasts. The Hynoid braced himself against the table and rose up on it’s two back legs. He reached for a pocket on his harness. As he rose up onto his two back feet, a huge gash was sparkling from blood on the center of it’s back and front left paw. He could hardly move it. The pocket was on the Hynoid’s left side, disabling him from reaching it easy with his right paw. Hynoid reached for it and nearly fell over from the attempt. Verias rushed to the side Hynoid as he began to stumble, holding him up.
“Tigrerra, come here, hold him up while I get his harness off.” commanded Verias. Tigrerra jumped from the raised platform on the other side of the table and walked beside Hynoid and braced him up. Verias unlatched the harness and slid it off of Hynoid. He held the heavy leather pocket in his hand. Verias worked the latch of the pocket open and pulling out a crumpled cloth with a small metal ornament wrapped in it. The cloth had one word written on it’s top corner, “Dear,”. Nothing else. The little metal ornament looked like it was once flat, but had been mangled and scraped. Verias moved the cloth in his paw and a clank was hear in the silent room. Verias looked down to see a long, flat white object had also been wrapped in the cloth. Verias picked it up and held it lightly in front of him, looking at it for a few long minutes, turning it over a few times and bringing it closer and farther from his face.
“What is that, Verias?” Tigrerra said as Verias placed the two objects onto the corner frame of the map table, beside a candle on the tables corner.
“I’m not sure.” Verias replied while stretching the cloth out in front of him. It read the same as it did before, jus the word “Dear” was still visible. A blood stain covered the bottom right corner of the cloth. Verias let out a pondering “hmm…”
“Well, Verias what is written on it?” asked Tigerra.
“It only reads ‘Dear’. That’s it. Nothing else.” Verias spoke as Hynoid fell away from Tigrerra onto the floor. Verias, in a rush, threw the cloth onto the table, partially falling onto the frame covering the candlelight. Both Tigrerra and Verias slid Hynoid into a sitting position as to stop the wound on his back from getting infected. With Hynoid falling over, it set off the built up anticipation in the witnesses in the chamber, causing a flurry of roars of anger and concern for Hynoid’s well-being. This didn’t stop as some of the Alpha Beasts assistants prevented the remaining being in the room from rushing to Hynoid’s location. The only place in the room that hadn’t gone into a fit of confusion was the platform in the very front of the chamber, in which the cross legged being was still silently sleeping. How the being was still sleeping was beyond comprehension. His breathing was constant in frequency and his position didn’t seem as limp as sleeping, he was sitting upright, erect, head set as if looking straight ahead, however, his eyes were closed. The being let in a small gasp and the breathing suddenly began to change in pattern, becoming more frequent. A low growl was emitted, silencing the room in seconds. The being stayed in his place, not moving a muscle. His eyes opened quickly, revealing a pair of golden eyes, that seemed to release more light than the candles around the room could produce. The beasts in the very back of the dimly lit chamber could see the golden glow through the darkness of about 20 feet. The eyes of every being in the room met his glare, as he didn’t move his stare. It stayed like this for a few minutes. Silence. Then, without the eyes moving in between, the being leapt up from the throne where he sat throughout all the happenings. As the curtain of shadows covering the throne platform pulled back, it revealed a humanoid looking being, with paws with claws instead of fingernails, pad-like skin covering the palms and tips of each finger. The feet were like the hands, claws and the sole were the same as the hands. The skin, which is normally fur-less on a human, was covered in a layer of black and gray fur, a face that of a wolf, the yellow eyes, a gray jagged shape on the forehead extending onto the top and back of the head and fades on the middle of the back. The being landed with a thud that made a noticeable impression on the stone floor, cracking a chunk of the solid granite slab floor. A series of whispers sounded from the audience, obviously talking about their first time seeing the leader of their own clan. The being walked over to the corner of the table where the cloth and two objects were located. He looked at the objects without touching them, then he walked over to Hynoid, still on the ground. Hynoid watched and became nervous as he walked up to him on the floor, and sat down crossed legged once again. He simply looked at Hynoid for a few moments, scanning the would on his back, his face, his other various injuries, without even moving his head. Then he spoke in a low rough voice.
“Tell me, young Hynoid. Where were you when these injuries happened?”
“I was….near the edge of the woods closest to this base. I was in a group of others, the Second Pack, mostly other Hynoids, we were scouting since we can run at great speeds it makes scouting much faster.” replied Hynoid, in a weak voice.
“What happened to you, to get your injuries?” the being asked in a bit more demanding a tone.
“ We were walking back here for this meeting and we entered the plain to the northeast of here, we just broke though the tree line when we heard a large crash. I was the front of the pack, with 3 or 4 others. I turned to see a giant object whirling around, I couldn’t tell what it was but, it came crashed and left. They all disappeared. Everyone, except those next to me. I was only saved because I was at the head of the group.” replied Hynoid becoming very weak once he brought up his comrades deaths.
“How were you injured then?” asked the leader.
“After the whirling thing left, I was chased by a few beings that looked like me, but they shone in the sunlight, like your eyes sire, they were shiny and looked like the were covered in armor. They surrounded me as I ran toward the hideout, they had the same speed, if not faster. One of them closed in from behind and bit into my back, I shook him off but he took a mouthful of my flash with him. I was able to fight them off, after another one took flesh from my left leg. After I was knocked down the others who were saved, began to deter the beings from attacking me. They chased them off into the woods. They disappeared and chased them into the woods again. I never saw them again.” Hynoid replied, hardly being able to speak out of sadness.
“So, where did you get the metal object, bone, and cloth you carried back with you?” asked the leader.
“After I was left alone, I searched around for evidence of who might have done this. I found those 3 things, the metal object and cloth were found together, the bone was found on the edge of the woods, I think it might be a bone of one of the Hynoids that were attacked in the first blast. The rest of the bodies just disappeared, no corpses were left behind at all. It’s really strange sire.”
Without a word the leader got up and walked back to the table. He looked at all three object without licking them up again. He then moved and picked up the metal piece, his face showed a look of shock and sadness mixed. He held the metal shard in one hand and reached inside his metal chest plate and pulled out a chain with a similar metal shard on it. He held both pieces upright and brought the edges closer together. They matched. His facial expression was final, shock. He turned toward the table and roared with great ferocity and intensity.
“No!!!! My brother. Why? You were so young, you were supposed to follow in my footsteps, take over my throne, all that I have worked for. But now…. You are gone.” the leader said while leaning over the table in sadness. The room stayed silent, only the sounds of the leader’s grief could be heard, until someone finally spoke.
“Death Paw, who was your brother, none of us knew you had one.”
“He was a twin brother, he and I were best friends, were half of each other. Now, I am only half complete. How can I rule and kingdom without my other half?” the leader said out of sadness, then as if it never happened, his face turned to normal in the matter of an instant. He turned and picked up the cloth again, he held it out over the candle on the table’s corner. The cloth turned a bright tan color with the candle light, then words began appearing at it warmed up. It read….

Dear brother,
If you are reading this it means I have fallen. I hope you can move on without me. You can rule New Vestroia with your leadership. Ever since we were kids, you were always the leader, that’s why I supported you when you fought the old leader to rule the Beast Clan. I never felt more proud the day you took over as leader. I knew from then on that the Beast Clan would live on forever, even in the face of extermination. I kept this note inside my harness as my last conscious in case I was to fail you. To prove this is me, I also keep our family bondage emblem. I remember when we made those as kids. So, I hope that you can forget me and move on. The Beasts need a strong leader like I did. You have saved me so many times, I can’t thank you enough. Thank you. However, brother, I am sorry…

The letter trailed off, being cut off my the blood stain at the bottom of the page. The last sentence that was readable is written in a different font than the others. Death Paw was quiet. He took the metal piece and cloth and slowly walked back up to his throne and sat again and slept. He spoke one last thing “No, I have failed you, Steel Claw, my brother.” then he didn’t speak until the following day.

The heat pounded down from the sky for 4 hours before the first noises from the batch emerged. Apollonir rose first, he was battered and bruised and had a mangled wing, unrecoverable, and a large branch protruding from his eyes, causing blindness.. Then three Hyper Dragonoids rose, one Haos Attributed and one Subterra attributed and the third was Ventus attributed.
“Is everyone mostly alright?” asked Apollonir, not being able to see anything.
“Yeah, besides being torn to shreds, I see 4 of us.” replied the Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
“4? There was 5 of us wasn’t there?” answered the Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
“What else is around, I can sense heat. I assume we are in the deserts of New Vestroia.” said Apollonir, getting to his feet.
“Yeah, I just see a barren empty wasteland and a giant black rock about 50 feet away, not even a tree or plant in sight.” replied the Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
“What? A giant black rock?” Apollonir questioned.
“Yeah, it is odd shaped, elongated and pretty thick at the middle. It’s not moving so it’s not living.” replied the Ventus Hyper Dragonoid.
“How tall is it, there might be a chance for some shade to give us relief.” asked Apollonir.
“Well, maybe our missing companion is there too.” said Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
They began to walk towards the rock, the heat blinded the Hyper Dragonoids and Apollonir who was already blind. Apollonir rose his hand to his face and touched one of the branches in his eyes and let out a gasp at the simple touch, making the caravan of Dragons stop.
“Apollonir, what’s the matter?” asked the Ventus Hyper Dragonoid turning around to look at Apollonir, where Ventus Hyper Dragonoid’s face turned to disgust.
“Apollonir, what happened to you? You…. Have branches sticking out of your eyes.” said the Ventus Hyper Dragonoid with shock.
“What?!” Said the other two Hyper Dragonoids while in turn turning to look only to have the same face.
“It seems being dragged through the woods caused some branches to stick into my eyes, since they aren’t armored like the rest of my body.” said Apollonir sadly.
“Well, we need to do something to help you, you already can’t fly, neither can any of us, our wings are still bound by these wires.” said the Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
“Well, if I keep these branches in my eyes, it only welcomes infection, if it hasn’t already taken affect.” said Apollonir, knowing the worst.
“So, what should we do, Apollonir?” asked the Ventus Dragonoid.
“Remove them.”
“WHAT?!?!” answered the Hyper Dragonoids in shock
“How can we do that out here? It’s going to hurt you. We AREN’T going to do that. We need to find help.” replied the Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
“We need to, if they are removed now, my white blood cells will begin to carry away the invading bacteria from the wound, if the wound is blocked by these branches, the white blood cells with have a hard time getting to and from the wound. It MUST be done.” said Apollonir in a convincing tone.
Letting out a sigh the Hyper Dragonoids agreed to remove the branches.
“Well, we need you to lay down first.” replied the Ventus Hyper Dragonoid.
“Let’s go to the rock, there you can at least rest.” answered the Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
“Alright, let’s go then.” replied Apollonir.
The 4 dragons walked onward to the black rock, the Ventus Hyper Dragonoid leading Apollonir forward. They reached the rock and the Hyper Dragonoids helped Apollonir down leaning against the black rock, in some shade.
“Well, do it.” demanded Apollonir.
The Hyper Dragonoid’s looked at each other in worry.
“Anyone know some medical knowledge?” asked the Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
“Seeing as I am Haos, I have some knowledge in healing, but not medical knowledge.” replied the Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
“Well, you’re our best shot.” answered the Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
“Alright” sighed the Haos Hyper Dragonoid as she knelt beside Apollonir’s right side.
“I’ll try to make it easy, Apollonir.” said the Haos Hyper Dragonoid said as she grasped the branch. The Hyper Dragonoid pulled at the branch lightly, making Apollonir scream in pain. His claws clenched and wrangled with pain.
“Pull it quick and hard.” scream Apollonir.
“Alright.” replied the Haos Hyper Dragonoid with a painful sigh. The Haos Dragonoid grasped the branch and again and pulled with all her might, not causing it to budge. She beckoned the others over with her hand. The others came over to help. They all grasped the branch from all sides of Apollonir’s head. They all gave a hard pulls, loosening it, while at the same time making Apollonir writhe in pain, his limbs clenching and shaking.
“We got it loose, but it needs to be slid out of the opening now.” said the Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
“Well let’s get on with it” replied the Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid. They all grabbed the branch again and rocked it back and forth inside the wound to slowly (and painfully for Apollonir) slide it out of place. Just when the branch was about to free itself from the wound it stopped moving, no budging. The Hyper Dragnonoid’s tried yet again, harder. Again, it didn’t work. The Haos Dragonoid, in a last ditch effort, slid her hand down into Apollonir’s eye wound and felt for the bottom, making Apollonir writhe in pain more than the previous movements.
“Try again.” commanded the Haos Hyper Dragnonoid. They all pulled as one with the Haos Hyper Dragonoid pushing upward from the base of the branch. This time the branch slid out with a little work, and pain for Apollonir. The branch raised in the air, completely covered in blood. As the branch removed itself, blood sprayed everywhere. It seemed almost suspended in mid-air. When the blood landed on a writhing Apollonir, it ran all over Apollonir’s face and shoulders, into his mouth and nose and onto the dry ground, which absorbed whatever moisture it could.
“There one down.” said Haos Hyper Dragonoid to Apollonir breathing heavily from pain.
They worked on the second one, with the same results, a lot of readjusting and again the branch came out with blood spatter.
“Thank….you…” replied Apollonir, attempting to get to his feet, but the black rock seems to be sticking to Apollonir, leaving a long black resin sticking to his back.
“What is that?” the Ventus Hyper Dragonoid asked.

In the rainforests of New Vestroia, buzzes a clan so mysterious that no being that isn’t a member has entered this clan’s base and lived. However, only one clan besides the Insect Clan knows where it is located. The Insect Clan is as deadly as it is mysterious. The Insect clans immense diversity and number of members makes it a threat to all other clans. The base, a giant hive. However, the base is inside a rock pillar with a giant Redwood tree hybrid growing on top. This base is hard to destroy because it is held together by the roots of the tree and sturdy because of the rock it is made of. Inside the enormous base is a series of tunnels and rooms, and the center is the throne room, with the Meeting room at it’s center.
Inside the throne room today with the rumors of the hate from the other clans pressing upon their conscious, a meeting was held to discuss this matter. At the center of the room was a table with no special map or emblem on it’s center. Behind this table was a vine that grew to form a series of stairs up to a platform where the leader stands in darkness looking over the meeting’s happenings. He was silent and stood stead fasted looking down without a motion. At the table, at the bottom of the vine stairway was 3 Bakugan, the Three Stingers, each of them looking onto a large crowd of Insects that were whispering and snickering amongst themselves.

“How can we stop them? I don’t see how we can stop them. It’s hopeless.” started Fly Beetle
“Don’t say that. There’s always a way. Couldn’t we ask one of the clans for help?” proposed Falcon Fly
“Not many clans like us, we are the Clan that hasn’t proven their strength yet. Not many clans will be willing to help an ally that hasn’t had much battle experience and frankly ones that have been making shady movements.” replied Monarus, the third Stinger.
“That’s true, but who likes us? As far as I know, all the clans think we are trash.” replied Fly Beetle.
“Don’t say that, we can’t be sure unless we ask.” proposed Falcon Fly.
“It’s hopeless, no one likes us. Why are we even considered one of the Seven Royal Clans of New Vestroia?” replied Fly Beetle.
Suddenly a Bakugan barges in, an Atchibee, causing a silence.
“Danger! Everyone needs to take cover, battle stations!!!” The Atchibee shouted as he ran to the center of the room.
“What is it?” asked Fly Beetle.
“Just outside the perimeters of our land, a giant stone monster was traveling. It was heading toward the mountains. It looked giant and menacing. It seemed there was some Bakugan that it had either captured or killed inside of it. I am telling you it was enormous, half the height of our base, and ours is the tallest in all of New Vestroia.” spoke the Atchibee in a whirlwind of emotion, full of pauses and rests for breath.
“What? Inside of it? Are you sure?” asked the Falcon Fly nervously.
“Yes, I saw it with my own eyes, sir.”
The Falcon Fly, Fly Beetle and Monarus looked at each other with a look of confusion and shock. They seemed to be talking to each other by sight only. All at once they looked upward, to the top of the Vine stairway, where the leader was still standing stead fasted.
“Sire, what should we do about this?” asked the Monarus, confused.
The leader didn’t move, but did gain two appendages on the side of it’s body. The leader was able to grow a second set of arms or legs when it saw fit to, the typical insect trait, multiple legs/arms. He remained still and silent.
“Well, sir?” asked the Fly Beetle impatiently.
The leader showed a sign of movement, he simply stepped forward, into the light of the glowing flowers that give the room it’s light.
“Sir?” asked the Falcon Fly intently.
The leader stepped out of the shadows fully and stood on the steps, bathed in light. His skin began to glow, his shoulders a fire red. The colors faded downward to his feet, a vibrant violet. His arms had a gauntlet of armor on the lower arm. His head consisted of four eyes, in a 2 by 2 shape. His hair wasn’t so much hair as it was sensory hairs. It is believed these hairs can sense a slight change in air pressure of an approaching enemy. Then he rolled his eyes, then spoke, well more laughed annoyingly.
“This thing seems like more a figment of your imagination, Atchibee. I’ll give you a chance to prove yourself though. Take me to the spot where you saw this being. If Atchibee did in fact see this being, it must have made a large path in the forest around here,” spoke leader in a high pitched tone, almost as if he was mocking Atchibee. He wasn’t however, this is how he always talked. He always was mocked for his tone, but his mind was truly the annoying thing. He always wanted to be in everyone else’s business. This is the reason why he was showing signs of trespassing on other clans. He wants to know what everyone is doing.
“Well, let’s go see what this thing was. Take me to the place.” the leader said as his back was shrouded by a set of vibrant pair of butterfly wings. The Atchibee bowed and said
“Yes, sir.”
“Now that I think about it, I see that you are lying to me.” replied the leader.
“What?! You were just about to go to the site. Now you say I am lying? MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!!” replied Atchibee in shock and anger. At this injustice, another Bakugan came barging through the crowd to Atchibee’s side, a Centipoid.
“Who are you?” demanded the leader.
“I am a Centipoid, oh GREAT Vibrant Wing(based off of yugi58),” Centipoid said mockingly. “You are wrong in believing Atchibee here is wrong.”
“What makes you so sure he is being truthful, hmmm?” replied Vibrant Wing arrogantly.
“Well, I was there. I also saw the giant beast. I was afraid that you would not believe me if I told you alone. Atchibee here had the guts to tell you. It’s not fair for him to be called a liar alone when he wasn’t the only one who saw it.” replied Centipoid. “Did anyone else here see the giant being as well?” Centipoid said turning to the crowd. Slowly, Bakugan from the crowd stepped forward and stood against their leader. The leaders eyes began to glance at the 10 Insects that stepped forward with their accounts. Slowly his faces turned to shock and rage. He turned away and folded his arms across his chest like a child about to throw an tantrum and said
“I still don’t believe you. I didn’t see this thing so I don’t believe it.”
“Vibrant Wing, I ask you to see reason.” said Atchibee stepping forward.
“No, I can’t trust your words. It’s not true.” replied Vibrant Wing with a tone of an upset child.
“You are too arrogant to see the truth before your eyes, Vibrant Wing. If you don’t look into this you might kill all of us with your foolish actions. You are not fit to be leader of the Insect Clan.” said Centipoid with a smug tone. Vibrant Wing heard this and was displeased and turned around in a tense stance staring at them.
“You don’t think I am WHAT?! Take that back or you will be sorry.” barked Vibrant Wing with anger.
“Why don’t you make me. If you are to lazy to go out and see the proof for yourself, how will you have the motive to attack me for my ‘disloyalty’ ?” replied Atchibee testing Vibrant Wing’s patience.
“Why YOU!!!! You’ll be sorry for saying that to ME!!” Vibrant Wing jumped into the air and dove down upon Centipoid and Atchibee. Atchibee swung his claws and batted Vibrant Wing into the air where Centipoid caught him in his huge pincers and closed them tight on Vibrant Wings shoulders and rib cage.
“Well, Vibrant Wing. Will you believe us now?” asked Atchibee watching Vibrant Wing squirm in Centipoid’s grasp.
“N…No!” replied Vibrant Wing while trying to free himself.
“Well then. How about this? THIS is for attacking those who were trying to HELP YOU.” said Centipoid as he tightened his grip causing Vibrant Wing to scream in pain. The a series of cracks was heard, blood spattering everywhere from Vibrant Wing’s chest then a moment later, Vibrant Wing went limp in Centipoid’s grasp.
“I think he has had enough, Centipoid. Put him down.” commanded Atchibee.
“Very well then.” said Centipoid as he threw Vibrant Wing to side of the room.
“Now then, Atchibee. Take your place.” said Centipoid.
“Take my place? What do you mean Centipoid?” asked Atchibee nervously.
Centipoid turned and looked upward, up the vine stairway and to the throne perched on top. Atchibee looked up in awe and said
“Me? Why me? I don’t think I can handle being leader.”
“You stood up to Vibrant Wing, the most arrogant and foolish of us all. You knew it was best for the clan that he knows the truth even if he might think you were lying. You had more guts than any of us did who say they saw the being. It is because of this I nominate you as new Leader of the Insect Clan. Who agrees?” said Centipoid turning to face the crowd. The crown erupted in cheering.
“Well, If you all think so. I cannot be leader without the help of it’s members. We will ALL lead this clan through the tough times ahead. We will find this being and do what we must with it. Destroy it if we must. Now…” replied Atchibee turning to face the vine stairway.
“Wait,” spoke Centipoid. “The other clan leaders are all part human. In order to be respected as leader, you need to take on the form of a human. Rumor has it you were once a human yourself, Atchibee. Is this true?”
“Yes, a long time ago, I was once human. I spent too much time outside of the cities and I took on the form of a full fledged Bakugan. I was the only instance of full transformation ever recorded.” replied Atchibee, almost disappointed in this fact.
“So, if you were once human, your soul is still capable to turning back to it.” answered Centipoid turning to look at Vibrant Wing, still immobile where he lay against the wall, lightly breathing.
“So what do you supposed we do to him?” asked Atchibee..
“Well, he is still alive, your human soul will crave to be back in it’s normal state. Take him.” said Centipoid.
“Take him? What do you mean?” asked Atchibee confused. Centipoid led Atchibee over to Vibrant Wing and told him to stand over him and close his eyes and focus.
“Remember your human form, hold in in your mind, try to revert yourself back. Focus on being human again. Think about doing ANYTHING to become yourself again. Then when you are ready open your eyes slowly and look at Vibrant Wing. You’ll see what happens from there.” replied Centipoid.
Atchibee closed his eyes and inhaled and exhaled slowly for a few silent minutes. The room held it’s breath. Atchibee’s eyes began to open slowly, making his eyes glow red, descending a red beam of light onto Vibrant Wing’s motionless form. Atchibee’s eyes turned from red to blue slowly. The beam caused a white light to begin to flow from Vibrant Wing, with little gold sparks. The flow seemed to go from Vibrant Wing to Atchibee. After a minute of this, Vibrant Wing began to fade away from sight. Within a minute and a half, Vibrant Wing was gone. Atchibee turned to face the clan.
“It is done. Take your place now, Atchibee” Centipoid replied.

Atchibee began to walk towards the vine stairway, he climbed the stairs and turned around shrouded in darkness, Atchibee began to glow. He felt a strange sensation cover his skin and his chest. He felt his bones grind together as if they were moving. They were moving, rearranging themselves. None of this hurt Atchibee at all. He looked around as his body glowed. The outline of Atchibee slowly gained legs, two sets of arms, a set of different wings. Atchibee looked at him arms and legs during this, completely confused. The glowing stopped and faded.
“Atchibee? Are you alright?” asked Centipoid nervously from below.
The leader stepped out from the shadows and revealed a body with plates of rainbow metal covering his lower legs, lower arms and chest. The leader’s head had two sets of sky blue eyes in the same pattern as Vibrant Wing’s. The hairs on his head were also there, except they seemed sharper and more deadly, almost like quills. Just the same color fading as Vibrant Wing had, fire red at the shoulders, cool, dark violet at his feet. At the ends of his hands, were claws of pearl white. The leader’s wings were nearly transparent. It looked like you could stick your hand right through them and not hit anything at all. They shined in the little light in the room. The wings seemed to bend the little light in the room and focus it into a beam. The room stared up in awe at the new Leader’s beauty. The crowd began to cheer in the placement of their new leader.
“The name’s Rainbow Wing (based off of Rstegbauer).”

“What the heck is this black paste, Apollonir? It’s all over your back from leaning against that rock.” asked the Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
“Black paste? I am not entirely sure. If only I could see it…” replied Apollonir frustrated.
“Well it is thick and rather sticky. It clung to your skin like glue, Apollonir. It looks like some sand has been mixed with it. Most likely from the winds around here.” replied Ventus Hyper Dragonoid.
“I wonder if this rock is a new material.” hypothesized Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
Apollonir rose to his feet and turned around to sample the rock’s surface. He coated his fingertip with some of the substance and rubbed his thumb and forefinger around in the substance.
“It’s tar.” he replied in a confused tone.
“Tar?” the three Hyper Dragonoid’s repeated in unison.
“ ….but how? The desert doesn’t host tar pits which is most likely where this came from.” claimed Apollonir. ”One of you fly up and look around the area. If there’s a tar pit nearby it has to be depositing steam into the air.” Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid rose into the air and circled the area stopping occasionally to look afar. He then swooped back down to the ground again he landed and shook his head.
“I see.” said Haos Hyper Dragonoid in a disappointed tone.
“So, nothing…” said Apollonir as he became a little light headed and braced himself up against the black rock. Then, his hand slid of the sticky substance, scratching off a layer.
“What’s this?” asked Haos Hyper Dragonoid, getting a better look at the scratched off layer.
“I’m not sure, I just see a series of red and yellow markings, seems to be thick and quite battered by the looks of it.
“What do you suppose it is Apollonir?” wondered Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
“I am not certain. Although it is quite interesting.” says Apollonir seeming to look off into the distance. Then he gasps.
“No, it couldn’t be…. Could it?”

Night Fang stood silhouetted against the moonlight that shone in from the window overlooking the War room’s Imperial throne seat in the Shadow Dragon’s lair.
“So? You have returned?” asked Night Fang, not even looking back to Helios who stood at the base of the stairs, looking up.
“Yes, nine of us returned, Night Fang sir.” Helios replied.
“Nine of you? I sent 10 Dragons to carry the traitors away. Helios, explain.” replied Night Fang seeming irritated.
“Well, I made sure I was carrying the Dragonoid, the leader of the rebellion, we flew by some tar pits in the volcanic portion of the Great Ridge lining the woods. I had the urge to show that Dragon some true agony. So, I gave him a little dip in the tar, letting him sink completely. The weakling who was carrying the Dragonoid with me went against my orders and began to pull him out. For his disloyalty he got a Magma Blast point blank, burning him to a crisp immediately. I carried the tar filled Dragonoid the rest of the way myself, making sure to hit every tree and rock before reaching the desert.” explained Helios, using a menacing tone.
“I see Helios. You truly are disciplined to traitors, aren’t you?” asked Night Fang, with a evil grin on his face.
“Well, the scar may be permanent, but the tar will leave him severely burned, damaged and incapacitated. If the tar filling his throat didn’t kill him, the heat attracted to the black tar should give him heat stoke and kill him. Either way, his death is assured. A fair punishment for a traitor, don’t you think, sir?” Helios spoke with a menacing tone, as he always does.
“Well, done Helios. You surprised me with your assuring actions on the traitorous fool. You also eliminated another possible rebellion with the Hyper Dragonoid.” Night Fang replied proudly, with an evil smirk still shining on his face.
“Thank you, sir. I hate those who stand in your way. They are fools for doing so and don’t deserve to be in this world. I wished I could have done it to the other 4 of them, although thuer leader has been taken care of.” Helios spoke.
“May I ask you something, Helios, my most trusted officer?” Night Fang’s tone turning to concern.
“Of course, sir. What is it?” Helios’ tone remarkably changing at this sudden question.
“I have a plan of domination of New Vestroia. The Dragon Race is the mightiest of all. It’s time we eradicated those who don’t deserve to be in the world. I think you see why I decided to ask you now.” Night Fang’s tone returning to menacing.
“Of course, sir. I would follow you through each devastation of the clans, single handedly if I must.” Helios replying with the same evil tone.
“So, do you think ANY of the other clans are strong enough to be saved, Helios?” Night Fang asked plainly.
“Honestly, some of our own clan aren’t worthy of staying in this world. However, they can be weak physically but strong mentally, in deciding to join the Shadow Dragons, and not follow those rebellions few. So, those who realize when they would be beaten are most likely more promising to keep alive than those who stand in your way, sir.” Helios replied almost growling.
“My thought’s exactly. I am glad to see you and I are on the same page, Helios. Come up here and talk with me some more, would you?.” Night Fang said as he rose a hand and motioned it towards himself, as if calling Helios up to him. This request was an honor. NO ONE has come up to Night Fang’s throne platform not even the other officers. This request was a true honor, basically symbolizing a Vice-leader promotion.
“Of course sir.” Helios replied as he flew up to Night Fang’s side, staring out the moonlight filled window.
“You see that large tree there Helios?” Night Fang spoke, not making a movement.
“I do, sir. The Insect Clan’s ‘hidden’ base, correct?” Helios asked confidently.
“Yes. Earlier I saw the area to the south of it shake wildly. I have received word that the leader of the Insect’s has been assassinated and replaced by the dominator. This does and doesn’t concern me. It does concern me because this might mean that the lone killer might be more powerful than the last one, and we might need to weary about it. The Insects might join an opposing clan alliance when my plans are made public. It doesn’t concern me because the Insects are aligned with no one. We are the only clan that knows their location. Even the leader doesn‘t know we know it. The rumor that the Reptiles were aligning with them are true but, the Insect’s old leader feared anyone knowing their location, so they transferred information and goods at rendezvous points in the forest, along the Vestroian River that flows north to south under the mountains.”
“So, how do you know all this without the Insect’s knowing, sir?” Helios asked.
“I know the whole history about every clan, their troops, experience, their base maps, everything I need to in order to wage a full scale decimation.” Night Fang explained, and partially gloated.
“That still begs the question as to how you obtained all this knowledge, sir.” Helios replied, asking for more.
“It’s rather easy considering my special power.” Night Fang hinted.
“Good point. I never thought you could use you power like that. I am the only one that knows of it, correct?” Helios gave compliment.
“Yes, Helios. You are my most trusted officer, so you have the right to know. Now, about the other clans. Which do you think are rightful to be saved in their upcoming brush with death?” Night Fang asked having that grin of his again.
“Well, like I said before, see whom comes to us. They need to realize on their own who to side with. Word of the Partial of our clans will be spreading to all the clans by now. Let’s see which come to us first. I would only keep 3 other’s, sir. Word spreading of mercy savings just for siding with us might cause the other to falsely side with us, just to save their skins.” Helios replied.
“Very well thought Helios. I agree. For now, we will prepare for war. Make the actions discreet will you?” Night Fang gave order to Helios.
“Of course sir, right away.” Helios replied as he turned and left the room, chuckling with excitement.
Night fang remained motionless as he stared out the window again. He saw the trees closer to his base shake wildly like earlier that day. This made his grin wider, showing his fangs, making them glow brightly in the moonlight.
“I see we have our first takers” Night Fang mumbled under his breath, and began to laugh maniacally into the darkness about him.

The large fortress stands clearly like a castle, except cruder and stronger. Outside it’s entrance was two eternal guards, stone warriors, weapons drawn and erect. The bases of the status read “To the warrior, his honor eternal.” The towers to it’s corners were lined with Sieges, each standing watch. Inside the castle, was a series of rooms which led to a large room in it’s center, the Commander’s Throne and War room. The room was silent, except for one person talking. There’s never more than one person talking at once, as to give each warrior their right to speak and no one should steal that right from one who wishes to have a say. Today though, there is a noticeable worry on the faces of the members. As usual, the people at the front of the room, in front of the shadowed throne, at the same level as the rest of it’s members, was the Three Guardians. These three warriors were deemed the most powerful, but also the ones who demonstrate the most honor. The Warrior’s clan leader believes Honor is equal in strength to the power of the individual. He doesn’t even deem himself a higher level, therefore keeps his throne at the same level as the rest of his members when sitting. The height someone sits determines their level among the clan, the higher up, the more powerful you are. The Warrior’s Leader doesn’t think that should be so. So, the speech went on, the Guardian Clayf speaking first.

“As you all know, a great separation has appeared in our world, with it bringing great strife.” Clayf spoke concerned.
“Correct, the Shadow Dragons have banished a few of it’s members to the far reaches of Vestroia. Exactly where we are not sure.” Lars Lion added.
“Since that time, the Shadow Dragons have seemed more covert, as if hiding something. We have reason to be worried of some devilish plan from them. Their leader is truly a devastating one. I don’t put any dishonorable thing by them.” spoke Nemus
“So, this causes us to worry. We might just becoming paranoid, but we need to be cautious. We also have word that the Insect leader has been killed in a fight with some of his subjects and the killer has now taken the throne, somehow absorbing the old leaders human form and turning into a human himself. Truly remarkable if I do say so myself.” added Clayf
“All this information makes us believe that there’s some alliances forming, possibly with the Insects of Shadow Dragons. If they are together, we need to be worried. So, I propose to you all, what action should we take?” asks Lars Lion.
A Vulcan from the crowd stands and begins to speak
“Well, shouldn’t we find out who is aligning with whom. That will solve part of the mystery. Maybe these exiles from the Shadow Dragons could provide us with some information. I think our first step should be finding these exiles. That is the least rash action. Base problem, we need more information of the Shadow Dragons. They are THE strongest Clan in New Vestroia. The Insects might have a new leader, but that doesn’t mean that they are powerful.”
The Three Guardians looked at each other contemplating the proposal, then Nemus spoke.
“It sounds good Vulcan, well thought. We should send out a few platoons of soldiers out to scout as soon as possible.”
After this word was said some movement was seen from the throne. The shadowed figure rose his hand, set it on his sword and drew it with lightning quickness. The little light in the room reflected off of the sword and bounced off of the dome of red glass on the ceiling, covering the room with a red light, stopping all movement and getting all members attention. After a moment, the figure lowered his sword, stopping the red light. The figure rose and opened his eyes, showing a pair of gleaming blue eyes that shone through the darkness.
“Vulcan,” The figure spoke in a towering voice. “It is a good plan, but scouting for these exiles could lead us to another clan’s territory. Trespassing in an unstable land that this is, could cause more problems than doing nothing could. Every clan is or will be trigger ready once word of these new happening reaches the edges of Vestroia. So, is that truly the best cause of action? While it is a good idea to gain knowledge before battle action, it might cause a lot of problems.”
Vulcan rose again and looked to the figure and said “What do you think is the most cautious action then? I couldn’t think of a better one myself. Any action we take will make us look suspicious.”
“On another note, the Shadow Dragons might easily be watching each clan’s movements. I have spoken with the Shadow Dragons leader a few years ago, as the Vestals left New Vestroia, his power is underestimated. He knew so much about every race of Bakugan in the world. He even knew about the rare species, like the Legendary Warriors and the ones Vestal brought with them. His knowledge far surpasses our own. He has both power and knowledge. I am not sure if it’s the best idea to get on his bad side at the moment. You are right Vulcan, we do need more information.” boomed the figure.
“Well, we can’t just do nothing!! We need to stand up for ourselves. If we do nothing, other clans will attack thinking we are an easy kill!” Vulcan shouted.
“I see. For now, we’ll go with Vulcan’s plan. I dictate Vulcan to be a commander in these actions. Join me up here will you, Vulcan. I need to make it official.” said the figure as he grabbed his sword again and drew it out of the shadows, this time making the light bounce onto Vulcan. Vulcan rose to his feet and walked up to the throne and knelt on one knee.
“Vulcan, I promote you to commander in this time of war.”
“Yes, Steel Will, sir.”
The figure said as he stepped from the shadows and placed his sword on Vulcan’s shoulder. Then in a typical Soldier style took the tip of the sword, made it glow a vibrant blue and artist-like gashed the Knowledge symbol on Vulcan’s forehead. The Guardians had the same symbol engraved on their foreheads, as well as the Strength symbol on each shoulder. That was the requirement to be a Guardian, you must have shown your strength and knowledge in the time of battle or war. The Honor Triangle. A mark on the head represented the top point of the triangle, the two on the top of each arm represents the other two points. These marks say to have some of the leader’s power embedded in them from when the soldier received them, therefore is said to have a special property during a fight. The knowledge gives off a blue light and the strength gives off a red light when embedded. Vulcan didn’t move while the symbol was embedded. When it was done, he stood turned around and looked to the rest of his clan and received a controlled applause with a standing ovation.
Steel Will came up behind Vulcan and set his hand on Vulcan’s shoulder, closed his eyes, and made a cocky smile and said…
“Vulcan tell the Guardians of your plan and get to work dispatching some parties to search for these few. We should still be cautious okay? I want you, Vulcan, to talk to these exiles. If someone finds them, you be the first to speak to them, alright?”
“Of course, sir. Thank you.”
“You don’t need to thank me, you deserve this.” Steel Will said as he returned to his throne, still standing, and said “Dismissed.”

The crowded room became empty except for the 5 of them, the Three Guardians, Vulcan, and himself. He folded his hands on folded elbows resting on his knees and watched Vulcan explain his plan, in silence.

“The clan is a whole, not one leading the rest. We should be treated as a whole. One person is not replaceable. If you lose a piece to the puzzle, it is never again whole.” the Warrior’s leader once said.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Can’t be what, Apollonir?” asked the Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
“Wait!” Apollonir barked as he turned his head to the north, as if watching something with his blind eyes. The others turned their heads and looked the same way.
“What is it, Apollonir?” asked the Ventus Hyper Dragonoid.
“It’s nothing I have ever heard before. It’s…… incredible.” Apollonir said, amazed.
“What is it, sir. Do you hear something?” asked the Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid.
“It’s giant, and whirling. It can’t possibly be a Bakugan, can it? Or is it a Vestal creation?” thought Apollonir out loud.
“The Vestals have been gone for years, sir. Nothing could have stayed from the Vestals. We made sure everything went back with them before the clans formed.” spoke the Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
“There’s no whirling Bakugan from what I know, Apollonir. I don’t know what you hear, but it’s nothing of this world. You MUST surely be hearing things.” spoke the Sub-Terra Dragonoid.
“Yeah, you must be right. The noise is gone now,” Apollonir spoke turning his attention to the black substance covered rock. “As for this thing. It can’t be what I think it is, can it?
“What do you think it is. Apollonoir?” asked the Hyper Dragonoids.
“This black substance, is tar alright. But, what’s underneath the substance is my concern,” Apollonir spoke. “We need to get this stuff off of it, quickly. Help me, Hyper Dragonoids.”
“Of course sir…” said the Hyper Dragonoids as they began to chip off the hard parts of the tar and wipe off the warm, liquefied parts of the tar. After a few minutes, they had to stop. The tar war getting everywhere and it seemed to be coming from the surface of whatever this thing was under that tar.
“Apollonir, this is impossible, we are getting no where with this. We should try to find water and shelter from the sun. We won’t last much longer if we don’t.” said the Ventus Hyper Dragonoid.
“I suppose you are right. We’ll have to leave this mystery behind. I was sure my theory was right though.”
“What did you think, Apollonir?” The Sub-Terra Hyper Dragonoid asked.
“ I thought it was a living being under there, but it seems I was just hallucinating. Perhaps the heat has gotten to me already,” Apollonor spoke “Let’s get out of here.” as they began to walk away from the seemingly melting rock.
They walked for miles, the tar stuck to them hardening and becoming very slowed by it. Apollonir kept stumbling over the occasional rock or bump in the desert surface. Night closed in and they settled down for the night.
“I was sure that under that tar was a being. It was nothing more than a stone rock of some sort that must have been blown from the Tar pits to the east of here. The trails to support that theory. There were slide marks coming from east to west. I wonder if one of the tar pits erupted sending rocks flying way out here. That rock must have been deep in the tar pit if it was seeping tar from itself like that. That would explain why we weren’t getting anywhere with it.” Apollonir rationalized out loud.
“That must be it sir, there’s no other explanation.” said the Haos Hyper Dragonoid.
Apollonir turned his head again to the east, in the direction we were walking. “Not again…. I am hearing that noise again. I can’t be hallucinating, because it’s louder now.” Apollonir spoke.
“We haven’t had any food or water for 2 days now Apollonir, you must be getting worse. You have lost a lot of blood from your eyes. Please try to take it easy.” the Haos Hyper Dragoniod spoke, the only one left awake.
“Look there!” Apollonir rang out, waking up the two others.
A dust cloud ascended into the air above a nearby dune, noticeably at least 50 miles away, which is a good 3 or 4 days walk with the broken wings the dragons have. They all stared confused as to what was causing it. A slight rumble could be felt in the ground. They all stared mystified towards the dust cloud that eventually settled. They all eventually lost attention to it and fell asleep in the cool night of the desert.
