RESULTS:

Removed stats greatly decreased complexity and confusion.
Intense concentration is still required to play this game correctly. You can't allow something to distract you from the previous move your opponent made, or you'll lose your train of thought and everything on it.
The raising and decreasing of stats from the cards may be ruled out. Those stats can just increase through purchases, leaving far less to keep track of during negation chains.
